KAMPALA — Prominent Ugandan businessman Sudhir Ruparelia has been confirmed as the chief guest at this year’s Pan-African Pyramid Global Awards, a continental event aimed at celebrating African excellence, leadership and unity.
The awards ceremony will take place at Speke Resort Munyonyo, one of East Africa’s leading conference and hospitality venues located along the shores of Lake Victoria.
Organisers say the annual event brings together Pan-African leaders, scholars, entrepreneurs and activists from across Africa and the diaspora to recognise individuals whose work advances African unity, cultural identity and socio-economic transformation.
The organisers confirmed that the event has received strong backing from the Ruparelia Group, one of Uganda’s largest privately owned business conglomerates.
Dr Ruparelia, the group’s chairman, is expected to deliver a keynote address during the ceremony and interact with distinguished guests attending the awards.
The businessman is widely known for building a diversified investment empire spanning real estate, hospitality, education, agriculture and finance, making him one of Uganda’s most influential private-sector investors.
The decision to host the event at Speke Resort Munyonyo, a luxury resort owned by the Ruparelia Group, highlights Uganda’s growing role as a regional hub for international conferences and global gatherings.
Organisers say the 2026 edition of the Pan-African Pyramid Global Awards is expected to attract participants from several countries including the United States, Canada, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Jamaica.
The awards recognise individuals and organisations making outstanding contributions in fields such as Pan-African leadership, entrepreneurship, cultural promotion, community development and intellectual advancement.
In addition to the awards ceremony, the event will feature panel discussions, networking sessions and cultural showcases celebrating African heritage and innovation.
The Pan-African Pyramid movement focuses on advancing the ideals of Pan-Africanism by connecting Africans on the continent with the diaspora through dialogue, recognition and collaboration.
