Prince Nadiope Ezra Josiah was born on November 1, sharing his birthday with his father, Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV.
The Busoga royal household has welcomed another member following the birth of Prince Nadiope Ezra Josiah, the third child of the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV, and Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi.
The Busoga Kingdom officially announced the birth on November 5, 2026, revealing that the young prince was born four days earlier, on November 1.
The arrival carries an additional family significance because the newborn shares his date of birth with his father, the cultural leader of the Busoga Kingdom.
In a statement signed by Prince Arnold Nadiope, the kingdom confirmed that both the Inhebantu and the newborn were in good health.
“Both Her Royal Highness the Inhebantu and the newborn Prince are in excellent health,” the statement said.
The royal family also expressed appreciation to the people of Busoga, relatives, friends and well-wishers for their prayers and messages of goodwill.
A growing royal household
Prince Ezra Josiah’s birth brings the royal couple’s number of children to three, following the arrival of their twin sons in August 2025.
The twins, Prince William Ethan Nadiope and Prince Arnold Eli Nadiope, were born on August 27, 2025. Their birth was publicly announced on September 1 of the same year.
At the time, the Kyabazinga described the arrival of the twins as a double blessing for the royal family.
The latest announcement therefore marks another important family occasion for the royal couple, who have continued to receive goodwill from across the kingdom.
A royal marriage that drew national attention
The Kyabazinga and Inhebantu were married on November 18, 2023, at Christ’s Cathedral, Bugembe, in Jinja City.
Their wedding attracted significant public attention as it marked the first royal wedding in Busoga since 1956.
The marriage brought together cultural and traditional celebrations, drawing leaders, dignitaries and members of the public to witness the occasion.
Nearly three years later, the couple’s family has grown with the arrival of their third son.
Celebrations across Busoga
The announcement of Prince Ezra Josiah’s birth adds another joyful moment to the royal family’s history, with the shared birthday between father and son giving the occasion special significance.
The kingdom’s message also recognised the support received from the people of Busoga and others who have continued to extend their goodwill to the royal household.
As messages of congratulations continue to reach the family, the birth marks a new chapter for the Kyabazinga, the Inhebantu and their growing family.
