Hajjat Namyalo Concludes ONC Ramadan Outreach Program with Compassion and Empowerment

The Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has successfully concluded the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Ramadan outreach programme, an extensive humanitarian campaign that reached prisons, police stations, schools, universities, and mosques across Uganda. The initiative aimed at promoting compassion, inclusivity, and empowerment during the holy month of Ramadan.
Launched at the beginning of the holy month, the programme officially wrapped up today, capping weeks of sustained engagement with vulnerable communities. Hajjat Namyalo’s outreach combined food support, empowerment initiatives, and advocacy for solidarity, reflecting the essence of sharing and national unity.
On its final day in Kampala, the programme began at Luzira Prison, where Hajjat Namyalo delivered essential food items to inmates. She was warmly received by the Officer in Charge of Security and Safety, Mr. Jackson Kwihangana, who commended the initiative for supporting often overlooked members of society. Luzira Prison currently houses 11,331 inmates, highlighting the importance of such humanitarian gestures.
In addition to food support, Hajjat Namyalo contributed Shs10 million to the prison staff and spouses’ bakery project to facilitate the purchase of machinery, boosting production capacity and promoting self-reliance. Addressing officers and staff, she underscored the value of empowerment, dignity, and community engagement as pillars of nation-building.
The outreach then proceeded to Jinja Road Police Division, where Hajjat Namyalo was received by the District Police Commander, Mr. Opiyo Patrick. She praised the officers for their dedication, discipline, and commitment to maintaining law and order. She further urged them to uphold integrity, teamwork, and professionalism while reaffirming her support for strengthened collaboration between leadership and security institutions.
The programme concluded at Masanafu Islamic Primary School, where Hajjat Namyalo donated significant quantities of food items to learners. She encouraged students to prioritize their education as a pathway to personal empowerment and national development, echoing President Yoweri Museveni’s vision for Uganda’s youth. The school leadership, led by Sheikh Yusuf Lubega, expressed gratitude for the support, noting that many learners come from humble backgrounds and the gesture brought joy and hope to the school community. The donation included Eid food supplies such as rice and meat, marking a celebratory end to the outreach.
The successful conclusion of the ONC Ramadan outreach demonstrates a broad and meaningful initiative that has, over the holy month, positively impacted lives across prisons, police units, educational institutions, and places of worship. Through acts of care, empowerment, and national solidarity, Hajjat Namyalo’s campaign leaves a lasting impression of compassion and leadership.
