Kampala — Businessman Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia attended Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s “Run for Hope” charity event held at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, where he also contributed Shs100 million towards the fundraising drive.
The event, held on Sunday morning, marked Gen. Muhoozi’s 52nd birthday under the theme “Run for Charity, Run for Hope,” attracting thousands of participants including government officials, business leaders, and members of the public.

According to organisers, the funds raised from the event are expected to support health-related interventions, particularly targeting vulnerable communities facing challenges such as limited access to medicine and healthcare services.
Dr. Sudhir’s attendance was among the notable highlights of the event, which also drew senior government officials, including Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa, Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng, and other cabinet members.

Gen. Muhoozi, in remarks shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, appreciated Dr. Ruparelia’s participation and contribution, describing him as a key supporter of national development efforts.
The charity run brought together a wide cross-section of Ugandans, reflecting growing participation from both the public and private sector in social and community initiatives.
Organisers said the event continues to serve as a platform for mobilising support for vulnerable groups while promoting unity, fitness, and civic engagement.
