KAMPALA — In a heartfelt gesture of support for education, the Senior Presidential Advisor and Personal Assistant to the National Chairman (SPA/PA), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has fulfilled her pledge to assist a student at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Kibuli Branch, ensuring he can continue his studies without interruption.
Two weeks ago, while distributing food to students observing Ramadan, Hajjat Namyalo met Lumu, a second-year student struggling to pay his tuition. Touched by his situation, she promised to cover the balance of his school fees.
On Tuesday, she honoured that pledge at the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), handing over the tuition funds. The act reflects her dedication to supporting vulnerable students and promoting access to education.
During the handover, Lumu expressed heartfelt gratitude, promising to work hard and not disappoint her. In a moving moment, he requested her prayers, which she gladly offered, referring to him as her son.
The initiative highlights Hajjat Namyalo’s ongoing efforts to empower youth and support education, demonstrating the impact of empathy, leadership, and community support in shaping young lives.
Her timely support during Ramadan serves as a reminder of the power of individual action in promoting education and nurturing future leaders.
