The Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has reaffirmed her commitment to preserving Uganda’s cultural heritage by contributing UGX 15 million to the Ngo Clan’s fundraising campaign.

The contribution was made during a fundraising dinner held at Sheraton Kampala Hotel, where members of the Ngo Clan launched efforts to mobilize US$1 million for projects aimed at preserving the clan’s cultural heritage, traditions, and indigenous knowledge for future generations.

Hajjat Namyalo’s contribution comprised UGX 10 million donated on behalf of her mother, a member of the Ngo Clan, and UGX 5 million given personally in support of the initiative.

Addressing the gathering, Hajjat Namyalo commended the Ngo Clan leadership for championing the preservation of Uganda’s cultural identity, describing the campaign as a timely initiative that will help safeguard the country’s rich traditions and values.

She urged clan members to remain united and actively support the fundraising drive, emphasizing that the responsibility of preserving cultural heritage rests with every member of the community.

“Cultural heritage is a priceless asset that defines who we are as a people. It is our collective responsibility to preserve it for future generations,” she said, adding that every contribution, regardless of its size, plays an important role in achieving the campaign’s objective.

Beyond supporting the fundraising initiative, Hajjat Namyalo encouraged Ugandans, particularly the Bazzukulu, to embrace government wealth creation programmes, including the Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyooga, and other socio-economic initiatives designed to improve household incomes and transform livelihoods.

The fundraising campaign seeks to raise US$1 million to finance projects focused on documenting and preserving the Ngo Clan’s history, promoting indigenous knowledge, and strengthening cultural tourism as a means of safeguarding Uganda’s heritage.

The event brought together clan leaders, cultural enthusiasts, government officials, and invited guests, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to preserving Uganda’s cultural legacy through collective action and community support.

Hajjat Namyalo’s contribution reflects the Office of the National Chairman’s continued support for initiatives that promote national unity, cultural preservation, and socio-economic transformation alongside government programmes aimed at improving the livelihoods of Ugandans.
