The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Manager and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has donated food items and a bull to the Muslim community at Al Albaan Islamic Primary School, Masjid Noor in Kawaala, ahead of the forthcoming Eid al-Adha celebrations.
The donation, received by Muslim women at the mosque, is intended to support vulnerable families as the faithful prepare to mark one of the most significant festivals on the Islamic calendar.
Residents and community members welcomed the gesture, expressing appreciation for the continued support extended to Muslim communities during religious and social occasions.
While handing over the items, Hajjat Namyalo said the donation was from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni through the Office of the National Chairman, noting that her role was to deliver the President’s message and support to the community.
“This support is from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. I am only delivering his message to the people,” she said.
She urged Muslim families to embrace unity, discipline, and love during the Eid period, encouraging them to use the celebrations to strengthen family and community ties.
Namyalo also announced that the ONC would resume its countrywide empowerment programmes after Eid, targeting women, youth, and other vulnerable groups as part of efforts to improve household livelihoods.
“After Eid, we shall continue with our empowerment programmes across the country to support women and youth to improve their livelihoods and fight poverty at household level,” she said.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Hajjat Mariam Bashir thanked President Museveni for consistently supporting Muslim communities, especially during important religious periods.
“We thank President Museveni for always remembering Muslim communities and supporting women during such occasions,” she said.
She also praised Namyalo for her continued outreach and mobilisation efforts, saying many women and households had benefited from her initiatives.
The donation forms part of ongoing ONC community outreach programmes implemented under government efforts to promote wealth creation and household income improvement across the country.
